So I'm staring at my parts in garage and I've got a '37 Dodge Truck engine/trans, '41 Plymouth rear axle and a '53 F100 front springs and axle. So I thought why not throw them together????

I was thinking roadster, coupe or whathaveyou. Something REALLY CHEAP!!!

So does anyone have any pics of something similar with parallel leaves up front?

I think Ford and a very few other makes were the only ones that DIDN'T have parallel springs. And anything that was raced, from Chevy's to Deusenberg's got the fenders removed for the weekend.

A few pics of my build. Custom made the axle from 1/4" wall CDS cos I couldnt get a drop axle to work. Took some time to get the castor dialed in. I'm going to remount the shocks as they are too far from the wheels to work properly. Works realy well now after going from 5 to 3 leaves in each spring.

Ask around and try and find a '35-'37 Dodge pickup axle to use with those F100 front leaves. The Dodge trucks had a tube axle, dropped at the ends with a 'wave' in the center...real sharp.
The F100 front axle is chunky, and truckish...and heavy.
    I have one under my '55 F100.

Good idea, 'four-springer'. Most older Indy roadsters were 4-springers.

Blacktop, check out my build at "1932 Chevy subframe", it might be useful. Good luck and keep the pictures coming.
