I am helping my father restore a 54 chev 2 door similar to his first car in black cherry. The car just came back from the paint shop and I am scratching my head about some of the stainless that someone else removed. It is the two pieces that wrap around the lower part of the back window and go to the back of the door. I know the hardware for around the window but it changes at the side of the car. The holes in the body are smaller. Do you put in screws from the inside of the car and what do the clips in the stainless look like? Is it a smaller push pin clip possibly? The hardware for the sides are absent. Second question. The stainless side stripe from front to back can go on either side. Which way is up. Crease in the trim up or down. Thanks, Jason
I just put mine on in this area. There are small metal clips that came off but the replacements from National chevy are plastic. You screw them ou from the outside and snap the trim onto them.
I used www.nationalchevy***oc.com and www.truckandcarshop.com for all my clips and all other needs. what one didnt have the other did.
