I know a lot of you don't care to do business with HF, but their flyer in today's paper has the 10" tires for 3.99 each (limit 8).

30 HP Zenoah snow mobile/ultralight aircraft engine, centrifigual clutch with combination of cogged belt and chain drive. Modified a low rider go kart frame with the bar stool. I started with foot pedals but am switching to throttle and brake on hand levers on the dragster steering wheel. Fould raising feet to work pedals took stability out of staying on the seat. In retrospect, I'd stop the stool seat from swiveling!! When it turns abruptly, you tend to stay straight... Ye hah!

    Great fun! Dangerously fast.

I just take one of these with me. A shooting boom rough terrain forklift. Comes in real handy. This old crusty van was about a mile down an old field road that had grown over and washed out. Both axles were long gone. No way to get any kind of street vehicle back to it. Just drove right to it with this. Had it loaded and gone in less than 20 minutes. Almost makes it too easy.

  4. I can get it out, the real problem here is finding the vintage tin.

Just awhile ago here, there were some young rodders retreiving parts in the winter using sleds! But if it isn't snowing near you, then my vote solution would be to rent a Bob Cat with a back hoe and take along a big wheeled trailer for the survivor parts. Gary

Check out the other thread I started the same day, "KEEPING VINTAGE TIN OUT OF THE CRUSHER" In short, I run adds on Craigs list and in the local paper advertising for vintage tin, 20's thru 50's, any condition. Try it and surprise yourself!! NEVER SAY THERE'S NO MORE VINTAGE TIN OUT THERE. You just have to locate it. The '51 sled below was "found" with the add, I chopped it.
