Very cool find, regardless of if it was in a movie or not.

I was kinda digging it until i saw the front. Is that half of a Nash grill turned on its side? I'd love to see the Stutz 8 in an open roadster all polished up.

This car seems to pop up every few years. Looks like someone has been working on it since the last time. I believe it is known to the Stutz guys. Would be interesting to know what was on that DV32 ch***is prior to the customization. Would be a shame if it was anything other than a plain sedan.

Hey Josh, that's what I was going to say, but you beat me to it...sure looks like half a Nash grille to me...and FWIW, those front fenders are Cadillac as well...

  12. It looks to me like someone was trying to build more their own GM dream car like the LeSabre, or what was the other one about that time.. or even the Y-job (1938) than a sports car.

that's a cool car. especially digging the motor. "32 valve dual overhead cam straight 8" has a certain ring to it.

That is a nice find. The car needs to be restored and drove.

I'm pretty sure this ch***is was just a spare. The custom had its own Stutz ch***is that had the dual cammed motor. There was a few other Stutz ch***is and motors there. One Stutz motor was in a sprint car...I want it.

  19. Super cool find. *****in lines but nit keen on the front.

  20. Buy it and change the grille to something that suits the car better.

Alot of that car is really cool and took some vision, but it also seems that some rather large concessions were made that the builder could not overcome, ran short on money, or both. I like that engine, alot.

I hope whoever bought it fixes it up.

The ch***is pictured outdoors is a 27 AA or 28 BB Stutz. The special looks to be sitting on a DV ch***is which would date 31-34.
