It's definitely an artform. The ones that are good at it deserve respect for sure.

My hat's off to you garcoal for doing yours yourself. My bird needs upholstery too, but I've not decided whether to have someone install it for me or not. The two things I've always farmed out have been upholstery & paint / body work... Maybe it's time for me to make it just one thing I farm out.

  5. I can't believe some of the crazy stuff my wife does. We are just getting into an interior for an O/T Vette for SEMA 2012, and she's pushing her own limits on this one. Should be a real show-stopper.... Hell, I build stuff from the ground up all the time, and I can't imagine doing what she does.

My wife Louise has had her own shop for 30+ years. It's damn hard work and she stays busy. I respect her alot for it.

it started with new carpet, then the seats looked like hell. now im redoing seats, had the back powdercoated. put in new floor mats over the carpet. its turning into a fairly expense project, but the finished parts do look way better hope im up to putting the seats back together. i think the transmission would be easier. you have parts pictures and the parts only go in one way. the seats are kinda variable where the parts go. again hats off to you guys who do it all the time
