Well that's some cool ass garbage there!..............

  3. If that's garbage I don't even know what to call mine....;) BTW are you gonna spray bomb the car 1 color or rock it as is?

  4. Got some goodies in the mail today!

First off, Limey Kid here offered this up an ashtray he had as a "wedding gift". He would not take any payment and shipped it to me. I cannot thank him enough, I was looking for one and was coming up with nothing. Thanks again man, I owe you ;)

Next, my friend Pat Swanson sold me a couple old Eelco 3 gauge panels for under the dash. I wanted an old cast aluminum one, and am going to fit it so it will bolt directly under the dash

And last, a look of things to come...

Looks great Chris. Keep the momentum going !

  13. I had my gas tank cleaned by a local shop. It is an original tank and now looks brand new inside. I cleaned the outside with a wire buffer, primed and painted it. After it dried I installed it, slipped right in.

I had to remove the chrome shift handle, it hit the dash so started bending up another stick.

Excellent. I dig the wall of old wrenches you have back there too.

I love the wrench board!! Much cooler than a paper reproduction poster. IMHO

Did this company use a special process? The radiator shops (if you can find one) don't do gas tanks anymore in the mid-Atlantic area anyway.

  16. Worked on a bunch of stuff today- gauge panel, rear spring, shifter, ect. Also got the head repaired (thanks Dad!!) and back one, as well as the coil mounted. Next weekend should be fire up!!!

  19. Naw, I still have a ton to do...rebuild the brakes, find a set of front hubs, kingpins, paint everything...still a few weeks out...plus I'll need some perch pins :)

Super awesome, will you be behind the wheel of it going to Billetproof this year?

  24. Don't think I'm going to billetproof. I have decided that I wanna drive it to Bonneville...so that'll be the big trip for it this year

Looking really great man...best wishes to you and your lady!

  27. Messed with the rear spring late tonight. I bought this neat ol spring from a friend of mine. It was under a 32 of his for years. It's roughly a 3" drop, that along with a set of 1" longer shackles should get her sitting good put back
It had one broken leaf but I have a couple other 32-34 bent springs so robbed the correct leaf outta one. Taking the spring in the get sandblasted this week

Also was messing with the tailights. I have some 32 hangers that I may modify and run. I have some very nice original Pontiacs as well...but just do not want to punch holes in that mint original panel! I'm saving the lights for the fenders when they go on ;)

  28. It's coming together nice man!
    Congrats on your upcoming wedding.
Is your locking gas cap a factory vintage accessory?
I like it. I'm not sure i've seen one before.
