Thanks for the kick ass comments.....To answer a few questions, the paint is Dupont Centari basecoat (or whatever it's called) with flattener added. The color started as Jimmy Green, but I toned it down with dark green and brown. As far as the original builder goes, it's Ian....V8 here on the HAMB. Same guy that built the crazy A. Danny....no interior pics yet. I did make some seat cushions and backs, and covered them in the same t/r as the top. Working on a new dash, so stay tuned.
Am I the only one that doesn't like the color? I love the handles and other 'bumps' added but just don't care for the color. I guess that's the beauty of cars. So many different styles and preferences. It's still a cool car, though.
WOW, wish I hadn't of sold it now. I'm glad somebody that was moved by that car as I was got it, instead of some nobody on evil-bay. Very nice. It wasn't all for nothing though. I had a vision, and that vision is what drove me to let her go. So look out. This just made my day though. I see that it truly is in good hands. Drew EDIT: P.S. Hey Greg, what's up man, where ya been? Shoot me a line when ya get a chance. Drew
beatuful job man... this car has been done twice so far over the course of my coupe build.. .geeze!!! I guess i'm just slow.. that chop is soo wicked.... Gotta keep me away from the sawzall tonight!
That looks great. It is hard to imagine a color like that until you actually see it on something. It looks great on a small car like yours. Great job. I would like to see some inside shots.
agreed - please show some inside shots.. I would like to see your floor.. I'm about 3/4 done with mine right now and would like to see what other people have done.. again - awesome job...
To answer a few more things.... The interior isn't complete, and it's unlikely that it ever will be!!.... but I'll try to post some pics later. The car rides nice. Haven't put that many miles on it, and haven't hit any big bumps yet, but it actually rides better than expected. I like that chirp when it shifts into second!
hahaha, I like the 2nd gear chirps too. Did you take any leaves out of the rear. I drove that thing on about 150 mile trip and the crappy 405 freeway beat the hell out of my kidneys, having no seats and just a wooden floor didn't help much either, after that, I stole some cushions off of my grandma's patio furnature...
That thing is off da rocker Daddy-O....f@#$in awesome.. Nicke- I love the grill treatment...who would of ever thought that would look soo kool....simply fantastic rides!
Hey, have you done anymore to this? Apperently I missed this post the first time around. Looks great!
Django....haven't done much other than drive it. Working on some re-wiring now, and pulled out the flat aluminum dash and aftermarket gauges for something a little cooler.....more to follow on that. Michael...I'm 6' and just fit. There is padding/vinyl on the underside of the roof too....protects thy head on big bumps!!!
That looks killer!! Nice transformation. I gotta say, those chopped T-coupes are really growing on me.
that's what I call a fucking HOT ROD!!! no shit, no bollocks, no fucking around......It's HOT and It's a ROD, So it's a fucking, in your face, son of a bitch, don't piss me around HOT ROD!!!! Guess you could say I like it!
i missed this post first time around also, i saw that car at the lonestar round-up last year. it looked good before, but looks better now. matt
Hot damn dude...I saw the before pic and almost hit the back button. Then I caught the top of the after photo! That fucker rocks. Olson
So Daddy O is the guy i'm pissed at for buying my dream car! LOL j/k I have always loved the look of that car and it keeps getting better! Great job... What big shows you hitting next summer with the car?
