Hot Rods Anyone recognise this trunk hinge?

  1. Hey guys just found this trunk hinge for sale, thought it'd be perfect on my roadster but the guy only has one.. and so if i get it i'll need another.

    I'm wondering if any of you know what its off exactly?

  3. The fella had it advertised as a 30's pontiac oldsmobile.. but no idea exactly what.

    It looks a lot like the original trunk hinges for my '34 Chevy Town Sedan. That being the case, it's highly likely it's very similar if not the same for a Pontiac.

    I've looked all over hell for 3 original hinges for mine and ended up re-drilling for Ford hinges. If that is same, good luck finding a match.

    I have a set of 34 Town Sedan hinges for sale.....
     
  7. I went and looked and they are not ford ,very simular ,If your stuck I have a spare pair of 50 ford hinges.
     
  8. its not a 50 ford they have more "detail" might be a 49 they are slightly different from a 50
     
  9. How about looking for a pair of Morris Minor hinges.

    Many Many British Cars, especially Austin/Morris... have those (similar) hinges.

    Would these work? They are early '30's MOPAR coupe/convertible R&L, and there are lots of them around.
