Sorry - not good with highlighting the wheel only in the picture. I have been looking around for some Cragar SS wheels in the "rare" 13" size for an early Comet wagon. Instead, I have found some oddball ones ROCKET made way back. Instead of multiple set of hoes drilled, they have elongated bolt hoes so they fit a coupe of similar 4-lug spacings. Guy confirmed he was using them on a Falcon so there we gfo on that part... I had not seen these ROCKETS before - ...which model are these, wheel experts? They seem to be in good shape...is there anything else to be sure to check out on this type of wheel (like weak spots, etc.?). THANKS in ADVANCE! To get found in searches...: 1960 1961 1962 1963 Ford Falcon Squire wagon and Mercury comet wagon.
I am no expert, but seeing how no one else is talking I will say I would be a little worried if some guy punched out the holes to fit other sizes. If it is really clean and done at a wheel shop/ machine shop then there should be no problem. Also there 40+ years old probably been to hell and back a few times so what are you expecting? Will they hold a falcon why wouldn't they? If you visually inspect and see no cracks then probably ok for your 80-120 hp falcon. My friend hops his 64 impala on Cragers and never broke a wheel. If you still dont trust them have them X-rayed. and if you don't buy them p*** the contact to someone else because others would want them on there falcon for sure.
Just looking at the picture they look to be a typical uni-lug type pattern. I don't see anything too amiss there. And rocket brand back in the early seventies when this type of wheel was cataloged was a fairly high quality brand. With the possibility of magna fluxing them as No Respect suggested, I would have no problem bolting them on my car.
Rockets, OG lolo stuff and four lug will be rare. If you like them, buy them, if not p*** on the contact info to Nads.
Technically, the model name is 'Rocket Stage 1' but we just called them 'Rockets'. Very hard to find the 4 spoke versions now I'm sure.
I wanna set of stamped steel Appliance 4 spokes, it's funny how the cheaper versions of Cragars are harder to find nowadays.
I have a set of those with the elongated holes on a Falcon parts car and the have a lug nut with a shoulder to hold them in place
