Trying to decide what seat to put back in my 46 dodge pickup.I have the original bench and have tahoe third seat seat I grabbed.I wanted to put in a set of buckets but all the seat i found were too long in the bottom,making it hard to get your legs in between the edge of the seat and the door post.Any of you guys found a set in the yard that would work?Most of the seats are 21 inches or so on the bottom and the dodge seat is about 17 or so.Just thought it would be nice to have a set of buckets and a center console.
The early Dodge trucks have pretty small cabs as you are finding. In the long run it might be easiest to rebuild the original. If you need buckets then look at donor with similar cab space, perhaps a 70's mini-truck or one of the many itty-bitty coupes. .
