1939 and 1940 grille question

Is there a difference between a 1939 Ford DeLuxe Coupe grille and a 1940 1/2 ton Standard grille?

 

The 40 truck used a 40 standard car grille.

 

I believe the only difference is the 1/2 ton Pickup grilles were painted only. If I'm wrong you'll know it here soon enough.

I did run a '39 Deluxe grill on my '41 truck about 30 years ago and it fit fine, a least I don't remember any fit problems...
