Where can I get 13 inch tires for under $100 each. I have a 62 Ford falcon and the steel belts are starting to show on my front tires.

155/80r13 is your cheapest option. It's not a common size. Most cars use 14's now a days. Try tire express. They are all over San Diego. They will beat any price so if you tell them pep boys has them cheaper they will match it. Oh yeah... Tires have gone up a lot recently cause they charge some tax on import tires plus they go up with the cost of gas. Or you can get used ones if you can find them.

Last 13's I bought came from Sears.....but that was 4 or 5 years ago. You might go online to www.tirerack.com......they got lots of tires.

13" 14" and even a lot of 15" tires are becoming harder and harder to find. Even a base model Hyundai comes with 16's these days. Ask around and go to a local independent tire shop that people in your community recommend. Chances are, they have 13's on the shelf, or can get them easily. They should be willing to price match to a certain extent as well.

The problem with the big chain stores is that most of the time, their inventory is determined by what sells the most on a national level; and it is a pain for them to special order an unusual size, so your price goes up accordingly.

With the mom and pop stores, they set their inventory by what sells out of that store, and getting a size they don't stock is just a matter of calling the right warehouse. These small stores would also love to have your business (in most cases,) so they will go the extra mile to accommodate you.

I just ordered these today, about an inch bigger than the stock 175/70r13 that are rotting off my newly acquired 63 Ranchero. 175/85r13 with a thin white wall stripe. A lot of 13s these days are for trailers, which I imagine would handle like ****. I'll let you know how I like them once they're here in a week or so.

Your Ranchero had 6.50X13s stock,70 series did not come out untill 66-67.
I'm running that same tire on my 'Vaire and they seem to work well.
