The restoration of that Futurliner is amazing. The windshield alone cost them $10k!

  3. Was it a Cadillac LeMans?

All of these cars are very cool, thanks for posting the pics and ideas.

  5. There were two Cadillac Lemans two seaters built that I've seen. The one that is posted above and the '53 model with quad headlamps and slightly smaller appearance. At least to me it looked smaller. I'd love to make a clone of that '53 version.

If you've got the money, I got the time.
As for the "54 Chevrolet Corvair" - nothing more than a 'Vette with a different roofline. All the other body panels are stock.

  7. Alex Tremulus was a friend of mine. While I didn't (don't) always agree with his designs, he was always atrip to hang around and a fantastic human and friend. Wayno

Chevy did eventually build a car using the design ideas in that roof.
Don't you recognize the 1/4 window with the louvers behind it?

    VEGA!

  9. I think it might be '54, but these are about the only pictures I could find.

Didn't DeSoto have a prototype for a two seat roadster/sports car???

  11. Actually that's the Cadillac El Camino. I've done some searching and the Lemans was apparently restyled in '59 with the quad headlights and new fins, etc.
