Hello All, I'm Eric and I love Hot Rods of all years, shapes, and sizes. I grew up with an older lead footed brother and two Brother-in-Laws whose influence shaped my foot to follow in that tradition. For the Last 16 years I've been Drag Racing a 1952 DeSoto Deluxe. She' a full bodied, full interior, four door that is a barrel of fun to run. But early last year I was bitten by the "G***er Bug" and ended up with a 37 Plymouth Coupe. She's an early 1970's build, and at first glance it looked good. But after getting her home, she proved too "unsafe" to be driven without a major rehab.... Needless to say, That's what I'm in the middle of.... I have some before and after pictures of my progress and will post as I grow with your site. In my search for parts, I ended up reading in one of your forums and thought it would be more fun to be a member and read from the inside, and seek pointers and wisdom from
Thx! I'm trying really hard to preserve the look of the original build, while rebuilding the ch***is where the entire cross section and every cross member was removed to fit the big block 383 and 727 automatic. It's been a chore, but I think I'm winning.
Thx for the welcome and concern. We were with the fortunate ones that only got the winds, rain, and pea size hail. Our thoughts are with the families north of the river in your state that weren,t so lucky.
Welcome from Texas! My buddy just moved to louisville about two weeks ago... He told me it was a big change on the weather end of things! Hurricanes to tornados.
