How many clowns will it hold?!

It needs it's length back. With the shortened body and the big whitewalls, it looks like a cartoon. And not in a good way.

Much better! What's that saying "wheels make or break a car" the other wheels were really breaking it.

Someone (me) who doesn't have a '34 Ford Roadster shouldn't throw stones! Looking a little more respectable considering, now I am jealous!
I have watched other threads of yours and I have confidence in ya!

The upright grill is killing it. It needs to be layed back. You're going from a flat front, to the sweep of the firewall. To many angles to focus on. Other than the grill, it looks much better!

The rear 3/4 view pic looks pretty dang cool IMO. I am not a roadster person at all, but I really like that car. Yea, loose the l-o-n-g rear shackles, and it needs a little bit taller 32 grille..he,he ... but I am serious:confused::D

I think that this body may be from Austrailia, ford made them shallower
and used a metal rocker panel that started at 1/2'-3/4" in between the cowl and front fender like a rocker panel and ran back to the rear fender where it was almost 4". Fast easy to check is the floor it was all wood and the body was nailed on the under side. There were a lot of bodys being shipped here in the early 70's that's when I got my 33 phaeton and I knew a lot of others that were building cars from OZZY land.

maybe if you put 13" wheels on it it won't look so short.:D

is that a coil spring I see on the front axle?

Looks good so far, My opinion is to ditch the exhaust ,Get in touch with Matt and get a set of headers,And please add tripower to it ...Then I would call it done........

I'd be quick on ditching the leg burners but rather than follow the crowd with lakes headers and be another one of the crowd I'd run the exhaust on out the back under the car like it should be.

That, putting a proper grill on it and doing something with the suspension to make it handle a bit better would make a car out of it..

Ha ha ha early broncos are close and dear to my heart. I have been driving a 68 for 19 years and in the salt zone it has to be a record. I'll sell a32 33 or 34 before the old broncos. The green beast is a 74 and in original paint and yes its bright:D

OT but I agree about the early Broncos. I bought a rolled over one back in the 70's and sold the v8 engine to a friend who had a dead Mustang and put a 365hp 327 in it(very simple swap). Man, did that thing surprise a few people at the stop lights.:D

Thanks guy for the kind words and the advice . I did get to work on her a bit and found a few more reasons its out of proportions . The hood is 8 inches longer then a stock hood. Also the radiator is mounted way past the crossmember and so the grill was too. The front suspension is a Rot style coil spring on top of the axle. So the frontend sits like a g***er and were my pheaton frame horns are 14 inchs high the roadster is 19 inchesI ditched the grill and all the fenders and working on loosing the sidepipes. I will have to find a short radiator were I have a 34 grill that was shortened and rechromed . I don't think I will bring her back on rail just yet. As for pictures sorry none today forgot to charge my ****ty camera :D
So what is this dash I got with the car?

The gauges look kinda early Willys-ish to me. Cool Speedo. Johnny

  26. Great score John. I look forward to watching the transformation.

In the 60s here in Australia that was common to use 13" wheels on the front.

Oh baby...that gives me and George some hope :)

Yea, it's your call, and you sure don't need to justify any move you make....I was just running through "all" the things that would snowball if it went back on the rails. That would not be as drastic if that old body was not shorted in the past... So now, so much would have to be redone to "make" another car, when it already "is" a car.

HOLY ****! Just shows to go you what a cynical old b*st*d I am. Can't remember the last time I was happier to be wrong! Getting the big ugly tires and Model A fenders helped a lot. They added a lot of visual "wieght" to the bottom of the car, definately not what you want on a car thats been shortened, just makes it look all the stubbier. Unchanneling it will put that wieght back on by thickening the profile.

Hold on there cowboy :) .. he did not say it was staying that way..but I do look forward to at least seeing how it looks with what the short term plans are. I'd bet it could look respectable.
