When I bought my 53 f100 the guy included a set of wheels that he said are original to the truck but I am having doubts. What year ford hubcaps are these? They are 16" wheels.

Please stop messaging me I am not selling them.

Interesting I knew they couldn't be right. The wheels can not be right either they are only 4" wide. Do 40-42 cars and pickups have the same bolt pattern?

Is there a site or post that shows the ford truck caps from 40-60? Would like to see a timeline.

I am running a set of those hub caps on my 31 roadster. If you are interested in selling yours drop me a PM.

  7. I always like the '41 caps like you have and like the rare '42 caps even better. Pickups '48-'56 used the '47-'48 car caps as shown on the '53 in the photo.

I have no idea what they are worth what is fair for them? I have already got 2 pm's about them. Would those caps work on the 16 50s f100 rims? I really like the logo.

Ten years ago it was 42 caps, before that it was 40 std. caps, before that it was 41 caps, and now it is 41 caps again.

Get originals or the good 41 repops, somebody...Drake I believe, makes a 41 cap with flat ledges rather than the curvaceous OEM style.

look at the rim to see if it has two side verticle where the tire fits on the rim-if so they are 40 and very early 41 wheels and are hard to come by.

BTW, they have an excellent free! catalog that if anything else will show you a clear pic of what your truck had and what the previous/next/other year had -It helps a person identify the part in your hand whether it was original to your truck or not and/or parts that you are missing.
Phone their 800 number and request your today!

I think they're pretty slick looking and they aren't the stereotypical dog dish hubcap seen on every hot rod these days. They're were cool back in the day too. Johnny

After more measurements turns out I have 2 16x4 and 2 16x4.5 so someone was already doing the big/small look.
