Event Coverage Hotrod Fest Dayton Ohio??? Who's goin??? Who know about it???

Do any south central Ohio guys know anything about this show? Its next weekend at the airport expo center in Vandalia! I'm sure I'll go one way or another just wondering what the story was?

 

havent heard anything , but im interested in finding out allthough ill probably be in louisville k.y for the swap meet

Not much info, well, not enough info for me to drive over from Indy. Maybe someone knows more?

 

I just heard about it today,since I have been to Detroit I will probably not go to this one.

 

I`m going. Taking a pair of `29 roadsters and talk cars with my buddies all weekend. I understand this is the first Rodfest so it would be cool to support it so it`ll be back next year.

Milo, call the guy and register over the phone. I did today. At least he knew what a traditional rod was.

Just seen this yesterday, called my son who lives in Dayton, O. he said he didn't know anything about it but would check into it. Wished I'd seen this sooner as I will be going to Louisville, K. for the swap, don't have enough money to do both at todays gas prices.

 

Heard it advertised on local radio all this week but same as others I was told by a car buddy.
For it to succeed I would think they need to get it on car forums and advertise at other shows and swap meets earlier in the year.

It has the potential and location to be a really nice show.
Lots of free parking and should hold in excess of 150 cars if they have the entire venue. There will be some vendors there as well and is sponsored by KOI parts which sponsors the Cincinnati show.

Hotrod Fest is March 9-11, at the Dayton Expo Center 2900 McCauley Ave. We have over 100,000 sq ft of inside space. KOI Auto Parts is the sponsor of the show. They will have huge display with a lot of product to sell. We have a lot of custom cars along with some swap meet vendors and this list is growing every day.

If you have a custom car you want to show the cost is only $25 for a 10x20 space that includes 2 wrist bands. If you have any more questions you can call our office at 937-938-7237. KOI is KOI is sponsoring a $500 cash prize to the best vehicle.

 

Any idea how many cars expected? And how many spaces left?

 

Right now they are coming fast. I will get a count by tomorrow. But right now we do have spaces left

I've added this show to the events calander so lets spread the word! I wish my car was up and running I'd drag it over there its only about 10 min from my house!

 

Maybe i'm not looking in the right spot, But was wondering if there will be a used/swap area? Not looking to sell but looking for some, "this n that" for the Truck. Anyone know?

 

I was wondering the same I need some lil stuff...Timing chain cover, 350th trans pan, etc.
