Just bought this truck at an auction today. I'm pretty excited about it. It looks to be really solid. Was told that it runs, but needs to have the fuel system gone through. It was last tagged in '01, so it can't be too bad. My plan at first is just to get it road worthy and dependable. Then I might lower it a lil and maybe try to make it nicer. The paint was brushed on but doesn't look terrible. I put some rubbing compound on a rag and it cleaned up nice. My progress will probably be really slow between work and the family, but I'll try to keep it updated here.
nice score ! dig the bumpers gives it that service truck look ,my old man had them on a few of his back in the day.
I think it was just a farm truck. I kinda like the front bumper... looks like something a push truck might have
When I was growin up that was called a "brush guard", cause you would actully go out thru a pasture with it. They also work well for snubbin a cow or pullin wire tight.
Those bumpers are awesome. Lose the spare, spare tire and letter the doors and you have the perfect service shop truck.
Nice find I have a couple of flat head fuel pump kits pay postage & ill send you one if thats your fuel problem.
It looks like those big ol bumpers kept the sheetmetal prretty straight. That's going to make a solid truck. Good Luck.
RUN Forrest!!!!!! Nice to see another F-1 put back on the road. Your truck looks really solid.......have fun!
I like the dual spares, good for some of those Texas roads! And that tail light /tag bracket is art work. Great find!
Well, I've decided to sell the truck. After 4 weeks all ive had time to do was clean out the bed, clean out the cab and pressure wash the truck. At this rate it'll never see the road again. I'd rather see it go to someone that wants to fix it up, then let it sit in my shop.
