Why would you want to desecrate such a beautiful engine with that big blob?

There are so many more viable options.:)

We sell a very neat compact plug and play unit for $169 that looks near stock and is half the size of the HEI.

I put one on the 302 HO in my '34. Fired first try, works fine.

I would suggest one of the early mallorys for the look as well as the curve. The flat cap look is pretty cool and the Mallorys have the correct curve for your engine.
I swap and trade these each week and often have the flatcap for the small block ford engine as well.
Pertronixs makes a electronic module for these and they work very well....

One on my F100 and one on my 46 coupe. Ugly, but work great. Both Ebay cheapies with no problems.

I use one was cheap and has given no problems, and if it does you can get parts anywhere.

COOL. I just bought one off ebay. I was just lookin for a way to avoid the the old module stuff and curious if the 47 bucks was wasted or not.

I have been considering that 47 dollar deal also. But only because it is so cheap and has the adjustable vaccum advance that I need. Would be interested in hearing your results when you get it installed. Ron

I tried one. Too big. Fouls on the intake which makes it hard to time. Looked goofy, too.

You can hook up a Duraspark dizz to an HEI module if you like, plenty of hook up info on the internets. Or just use a Pertronix. I have put many thousands of miles on them.

I am using the Ford Dura Spark, yes there is a box on the firewall, but I can go to any junk yard and have an extra for 10 bucks or go to the parts store an buy one for 30 bucks if I break down. Plus, the dura spark has been shown to be hotter than some of the aftermarket "fixes" I use the term loosely, cause they "fix" something that isn't broke! My 0.02 cents...

My buddy has already found an issue with his. Hes got a 351w with a victor jr tunnel ram and it will clear the intake but no room for temp guage fittings.
