I recently bought a ****load of old hubcaps ranging from the earliest one being a '30's Ford center cap w/V8 symbol on it all the way to mid 80's stuff , I have sorted them all out and I want to mabye start alittle thing here on the internet or mabye the HAMB buying , selling and trading Hubcaps , but , I kinda need to know the years of some of these things , is there anywhere on the web that youi can look up years and such on hubcaps? , here's a little sample of what I have sorted out so far.....
Have any Studebaker caps? I have 3 the same and one oddball. Maybe I can trade you my oddball for one matching.
I know where there is a pretty nice set of 4 57 chevy hub caps at an antique mall a few miles down the road if he doesnt have any.
I find I can usually barely give away the damn things, at shows, and when you get a big mess of them like that they're not good enough to try to sell say on eBay because they're never show car perfect, they'll have a few dings or rock hits in them or need the paint redone. So guys don't want to pay much for them. Unless it's something fairly rare, like a spinner cap or an early factory wire, or one of the desirable caps for customs. I mean, I have a stack that at one time was about 6 feet tall tucked in the corner of a storage van, every couple years I pull out about a foot or so and take to the swaps until they sell.
Old thread .... funny thing about hubcaps ... somedays you can get four for 10 bucks other places the same ones are listed for 100 bucks .... depends on the moon I guess!
Well if you have a 54 Ford Crestline cap or two in presentable driver condition PM me. Route 4 here in Jersey just ate one on me.
i once saw a barn at a junkyard that had one side completely covered in hubcaps. didnt have a camera.
