Sweet truck. It reminds me of the aluminum truck Boyd had the DeLays build for him about 10 years ago. I think they were originally from Sweden also. You Sweedish guys know your stuff. Subscribed.

My father build hot rods in the 80's, then I just seen pictures from hes build, and always think it was cool! But building hot rods has been in my family, my uncle have 5 different hot rods, so Iv'e been to his garage alot as little, and now picking up the intrest of metal shaping! My father gave me my first English wheel when I was 16 years, from there two Lazze courses, and learning my self for about three years! Thanks man! This truck was originally going to be a roadster or a tub, **** Brogdon=Boyd's original foreman asked a pal if he had a cowl that Boyd could borrow for this build. His pal asked for one of mine, It was a 29 closed cab p/u. No wood in it but still very sound. I lent it to them twice, each time I had to deliver it @ no compensation. The 1st time it came back fine, the 2nd it did not! Sometime in the build, they liked the look of a 29 cc cowl, but liked the rear cab of a 30/31. I go to see the progress at Marcel's and I'll be damned if the hinges for me doors weren't just sawzalled off and thrown in the seat riser area, They even cut into the A-pillar area! This saved them a ton of labor not having to make a buck,Will cost me to fix it. Marcel's wouldn't fess up to it, nor would Boyd. I was pissed! this cab still sits on then back of my BB along with a 28 CC, that needs work. These were to be shop trucks for Paul & Jim @ Cook's to advertise the shop and Cyclone. When I went to pick up my cab from Boyd's Orangethorpe address I loaded the cab in the bed of my 1/2 ton Chev shortbed p/u. I liked the project, didn't like what had happened to my cab. I did notice that they changed from one aluminum frame to a sleeker one, I took the original and still have that,but before I got it they sawed the front x-member out it. I learned to never make a deal with Boyd right then and there, and then "Avoid The Boyd". He sure did align himself with talented individuals that maintained his place in Hot Rod History. Alumatruck, Great job on the work performed so far, don't forget the wide bead line that is on the door and rear cab corners. Be proud=Killer Work!
I really like the angled window and chop. It reminds me of an old racer i used to see at union grove in the early 70's.
