VanDerBrink Auctions is please to bring you the James Carlson Collection Auction. James was a hot-rodder to the core and loved his 1932 and Model A Fords. He was actively involved in building rods, swapping parts, and having fun with the hobby. Jim p***ed away from cancer and now his wife, Betty, will offer his collection of Vehicles, parts, and more at auction to the Highest bidder. There is something for everyone from early Ford parts, to James’s High School 1932 Ford Hot Rod, Ford Model A’s and 1968-1970 Chevrolet & GMC Pickups. Plan now on attending this auction and bring home some of the treasures that Jim enjoyed. Preview Friday Afternoon April 27th, 2012.

I had the privledge of being a friend os Jim's for 40 years. We had a lot of fun together untill he kind of fell out of going places in the late 80's. I would still stop over and visit with him from time to time. The Duce sedan was not his high school car, but was built by Fres Schritt in the late 50's, and sold a couple of times before Jim bought it. He had it not too long after I got out out of the army in 1971, and did a partial redo of the car. When Fred built the car it waqs candy apple red, and Jim repainted it the white as in the pictures. It had a small block chevy with 39 trans with zephyr gears. Rest in peace my old friend
