it looks good. is that 55 chevy headlights? how did you lay that back window down? how about a pic of the back? Welcom!
Looks good holmes,,,,good thing i saw these pics...I was heading in the same direction....Back to the drawing board i guess....lol Dirty
I like the chopjob of your '54. Did you cut the rear window? And what are those head lights? '55 maybe?
Thanks guys. The headlights started with 55 repo headlight rims, and I thought I could use replacment caps, but that did'nt work at all, so I end up hammering out the eyebrows from ****ch to get the right look. The back gl*** has not been cut, I cut the whole backgl*** frame out and moved it forward about 6", then tilted it forward to lineup with the driprail. Then made filler panel between the backgl*** and the decklid. The windshield is cut 3", then the roof was cutoff just above the windshield and moved forward and down about 2", that moves the roof ahead enough for the angled B-pillars, and fixes the short windshield fat roof look that wrecks so many chevy chops. That gives about a 5" chop in the side gl***, with only 3" out of the windshield. The back got dropped about 6" to get the slope I wanted. The only thing I would have done different, I would have found a backgl*** from a hardtop I could have cut out. The shape looks like it would work better.
It looks fine! Well proportioned and a nice flow, also glad to see that you've kept the stock rear window. Personally I think loosing the headrests and radial tires would make it even sweeter though.... Btw what are those taillights from?
Your right on track, I should have done it in the first place, but thats likely to happen this winter. Thanks for the preview, gives me goosebumps.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think that car is probably cooler unbagged. Bagged, it looks like something my generation would build. Unbagged, it looks like something my dad's generation would have built, which is cool. Great car man.
That thing is wicked. Was leaning against doing a chop like that but it looks awesome....I wanted to just lay the rear window and put in a shoebox Ford one, but I really like that look. Decisions are a ***** Larry
hey i LOVE your car and esp. love the wheels and tires. exactly what tires are those? brand? size of white wall? thanks!
