Horn Relay

    Anyone know of a nice simple, easy to wire, minimum number of wires, horn relay?

    Apparently i need one to make my horn work, news to me.

    Auto Zone has a one wire relay with a blade type fuse
    I ran mine to the bat, side of my starter switch works fine..

    Yup, throw a 20 in there and you should be all set.
     
  4. I am using one from autozone that is for a '63 Chevy truck. I has on hot wire, one wire to the horn and a ground that runs to the horn botton/switch.

    I have wired them up hot, just using a hot wire and a starter ****on. if you don't lay on the horn forever at a time it will do just fine.

    Thanks guys, sounds good to me.
    I couldn't ever remember using a relay before,i just wired them in, but thats what i was told to use.

    I guess i don't use a horn much?

    You know what the one wire relay is for, because thats the first question they're going to ask ?

    PnB suggested '63 Chevy Truck...
    Standard Products P/N
    HR117 with Spade terminals
    HR125 with Screw terminals

    If those are too big there are small plastic units that work well but are less traditional looking...
