Sorry for such language but geez louise hidden rust gets old.

Actually its the yahoos that hide the rust with half *** repairs that irritate me

I have owned this car for 6 years and never knew there was rust there because some unscrupulous individual laid cheese cloth over the whole, bondo'd it then sprayed it with tar undercoating to hide it.

 

Oh man more?!!!! Well I guess we should celebrate the fact that so much of this car will be new steel and so much of your sweat is now wrapped up into the car that it's becoming harder and harder to trade away.....which is a very good thing!

Anytime you feel down on rust issue think of my '32. Any time you feel down on northern cars think of my '35.


Tail lights look incredible. Can't wait to see a full side shot to see how they visually affected the chop. Long and lean....

 

yea I know, like I said I guess maybe its not the north, its the ding dong that hid the rust.


and yea, at this point I have decided that this is "my" car and have come to terms with that

I cant wait to see it outside with the quarters done and the bumper sectioned, I think I am going to go ahead and do the skirts like Old Gold did on that 54 he built.

 

I wasn't going to mention it but now that you did, the skirts HAVE to be next on the list. They're begging for attention especially with those quarters spliced in.

I totally forgot about this thread. When it was started I hadn't met your nutty Iron Lords in person. Pretty cool to look back at the pictures and have a whole new perspective of the situation.

I'll say it again (like I said it when I saw the car in person) you really should take another inch out of that chop.

agreed! I want to extend them another foot or so back but keep them flush, Old Gold said they were easy to build but I get a little nervous about jumping out of a perfectly good airplane even if I have done it several times before

but it will never live up to its name if its not full tilt!

Hey Del I think I will be in in Conchord this coming weekend to pick up my chrome from Concord Plating. That is if I can get ahold if the guy and his translator is there too. I wanna stop by you guys shop if possible.
