i am trying to find some lug nuts for a set of original mickey thompson radar wheels. the holes for the lugnuts are only 0.65" ID. it seems all the lug nuts today have a bigger shank diameter? my front wheels need 7/16 fine thread, and to add insult to injury, the rears axle is metric!! anybody know where i can get some that will fit?
the machine shop , chuck them up in the lathe and make shavings , i think even the new radar wheels are .788 , thats what i have had to do , good luck
Nice chrome on your wheel By the way, the M/T version is Rader, not radar or radir. There is a guy who I think is Torque Thrust Terry and is on hamb with a different name. If anyone has the orig sized lugs it would be him. He sells all vintage wheels, lugs, etc
Like was said, you may have to visit a machine shop. I just got some from e-bay. There are several e-bay stores that have them but the stem diameter may be wrong. http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-CORRECT-...Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a718f0c82&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-LUG-NUTS...Parts_Accessories&hash=item5891b5841b&vxp=mtr
I just bought some on eBay for my Raders, identical same wheels as yours, they fit fine but I did have to grind down each washer to make them fit in the recessed areas. I'd only drill them out on a worst-case scenario.
