I know its been done but I was wondering if anybody has pics of a touring car turned into a roadster p/u that looks right I have been driving my touring car for a couple of years and I have the urge to change it up and I love roadster pick ups
What year touring car? I'd say if it's an A you're better off selling or trading the body for an RPU. Tourings bring more coin than an RPU in my experience and as a lover of touring cars I hate to see one cut up when there are plenty of replacements out there.
Good point,,,, How about ones that where started with just a cowl and doors? I have a Packerd cowl and doors off an old He**** I would like to use.
How about the night crowd, I took some measurements today and have done alot of looking I think I can pull it off but would like to see pics of one already done I don't wanna screw up my car
did you just kinda square off the back I really can't tell in the pic but thanks for posting I like it
I was thinking of cutting down a rusty 56 deck lid I have for the rear of mine. make a nice tall tub. Note,,, The photo is for reference. I don't have a good shot of mine.
Well I'm interested in this thread. It falls under some kind of unique thinking for metal shaping I would think. I found the photo of a guy that used a 50's Chevy hood for his ****. COOL.
My 26 RPU started life as a touring car, I have not gotten to the box fabrication yet, but my build thread is here if you want to have a look. My power is 312 Y Block and C4 and my ch***is is all custom fabbed by me. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=460009&highlight=26&showall=1
I'm sitting between putting a T bed on this one or leave the 1953 Doge pickup hood panels as the quarters.
