Any idea where I can buy some mild steel exhaust sections...all of the parts stores I have been to have the galvanized pieces...I want the plain steel sections..
Check out Summit racing for their universal dual exhaust kit. It has everything, but they also sell individual exhaust pipe pieces in various diameters and bends.
Ask pretty please to go through the s**** bin at your local muffler shop, beer is a good ice breaker for some of us. I knew a guy years ago that would go through the OLD RUSTED up exhaust s**** pile where I worked. He'd ask for something to adapt this to that and we'd toss him something since he looked so down and out. Winds up that he's my brother's friend's dad... absolutely multi-millionaire and dives in s**** bins since he was so cheap. Bob
Muffler shop..hell... I live in Millinocket, Me...we do not even have a clothing store...Summit looks good...
Anyone who sales circle track exhaust should have what you need. Schoenfeld has a kit for headers up to 2" that could be used for exhaust tubing.
How about heartthob. I know they sell mandrel bends. Speedway sells stainless in straight lengths but i dont know about steel. check out those two.
One option is the Mild Steel Exhaust Bend Kits from Speedway. They come in 2 1/4" and 2 1/2" with straight sections, and an ***ortment of bends. I used a kit to build the tailpipes on my 62 Pontiac, nice pipe, good quality, great price. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Mild-Steel-Exhaust-Bend-Kit-2-1-2-Inch,36340.html http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Mild-Steel-Exhaust-Bend-Kit-2-1-4-Inch,25216.html
We just bought a 2 inch x 10 foot piece from a local muffler shop. It was only $ 40 for the whole piece, and was the good stuff, not what you get from Autozone. Don
