Why am I imagining this as a 2" off the ground land speed *******ization in black?

What I am wondering is if it has the heavy duty 292 beneath the hood.

With those grain bins behind it, it was a grain truck. Farmer probably took off flatbed and put it on a newer ch***is. Being a bigger truck, might have a 302 or 332 engine in it. I don't see any air brake cans hanging off the rear axle, so I'd ***ume juice brakes. It looks really restorable in the pics, but who knows how much rust is hiding in those pics.

It would make a great hauler for a vintage race car. On the other hand, I would add a stake body and use it for a flea market truck.

I doubt it has any rust, except maybe floorboard.

gotta love the "really wide 5" wheels. don't think I'd put them on a HOT ROD though.

Very likely has a 292, our 59 grain truck did.

I'd like to see it with a fleetside box on it, then stepside fenders welded to the fleetside box so they'd stick out as far as the widened front fenders. Make the running boards full length to reach the rear step fenders.

You're not alone.. I saw a '57 Chevy big truck with the fenders that stick out like this one.. I imagined it as a road racer with fender flares out back to match.

More of a DogFightMag build than a HAMB build though.
