Congratulations to Doug Bredbury (dugbred) For winning Street Rodder magazine's Street Rod of the year and getting the cover on the 40th anniversay edition. If you have not seen it in person you will be in for a treat, excellent workmanship.I look forward to see how his next project turns out. Also Keith Goettlich (leadsledmerc)for his 37 Chevy and Jon Schuchart's 26 roadster for making the top 10. By the way all these cars were picked at the nolonger Goodguys East Coast Nationals in Rhinebeck,NY....Great job guys.
I got my issue yesterday. Gongrats indeed !!! What a beautiful car. If you drink shots for 6 hours, take 4 ludes and squint with one eye open my car kinda looks like that. If it had no fenders or hood and was chopped w/wide whites. Gongrats to Keith as well !!! Acouple of pics for Moose223
I got that in them mail yesterday and just glanced through it but did see that the 32 got that honor. Keith's 37 is one of my top ten favorite HAMB cars so that it made the top bunch is great.
Got mine yesterday also, congrats dugbred !!!!! x10 thumbs up. I loved all of em,great month for SR......................YG
Wasnt this the car that was stolen at GG Indy, and then recovered? I think it was supposed to be entered in the hot rod of the year deal. Wish it was, one nice piece. Congrats.
Great car, love everything about it until you get to the back, The gastank spoils it,should have a stock one or bobbed off with no tank showing, and I like 46 chevy tail lights on a 3-window. Congrats on the award, well deserved.
Doug's '32 is awesome and not your usual cookey cutter '32 by any stretch!! It was a well deserving award...a big Congrats goes out to you, Doug!! If you had even the resembalance of a a clue about the cars in this thread...you wouldn't have made such a stupid comment!
I don't know Doug so I can't say if he has ever trailered his car or not, but I know Keith (leadsledmerc) a little bit. I know he drives the wheels of his 37 and I'm pretty sure it hasn't been on a trailer since the build stage !!! "Stupid is as stupid does".... or types Don.
Trailered, driven or transported via teleportation? It makes no difference to me..it's a very nice deuce!
Hey Doug it was good hanging with you at Detroit, I'll see you at the Jalopy Showdown. Thanks for the kind words.
Why do people automatically feel that a nice car is a trailered car? Just give him the credit he deserves or skip over this thread. Congrats Doug.
Thanks for the compliment Pop...but you obviously weren't paying attension when you were going around the block...and still aren't keeping up with whats going on here. This was a congratulatory thread about two cars that are driven, not trailered...but again it's quite obvious by your statements that you have no first hand information, or even general knowledge about either car. If you did your homework before opening your trap, you'd see my car towing trailers, not being trailered. Please let this be the upbeat thread it was intended to be. If you have a beef with the "trailer rods"...take it up on an appropriate thread, not here. Congrats again on your Street Rod of the Year award, Doug...well deserved!!
A HUGE Congrats to Doug. When I first saw this picture from Rhinebeck it was forever filed in my memory bank of bitchin 32's. For the life of me, I can't figure out the haters or the negative comments. If you don't have anything nice to say, shut yer face.
Wow Both of those are stunningly beautiful examples of HAMB quality cars. ...and Paw Paw (Deuce Daddy Don)...if you havent learned yet, ya never will...Keep the plug in that yapper unless you know for a fact what you are about to say (or type) is true!
