Hey guys, I'm looking at a T-5 ****** I am thinking of buying to put behind a 302 in a new project but need to know what it came out of. Does anyone know by th Id number? It's 13-52-065-914. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks, Eddie
The number that you list is probably a casting part number and not the number to use as an ID number. The number that you need is on a green and white sticker on the top cover and reads like this: WG 13-52-145 this number is for a 1985-86 GM s-10 or s-15 4 or v-6 truck. Some times there is a metal tag attached to one of the bolts that hold the rear housing to the the main housing. That tag would have a 13-52-**x number on it as well. If 13-52-065 is the corect number, then it is out of a mid 80's Mustang or Capri. The bigest difference between GM and Ford T-5's is the mounting pattern.
You can't always count the spline on the input shaft in pictures, but you can always see the mounting flange.
I think only GM used the sticker on the top cover...but I'm happy to be proven wrong. Ford ALWAYS had the metal tag although it's frequently removed. GM tags were typically steel & rusted to the point they're illegible. That is a casting number. I think I looked at that ****** on eBay - hard to say what it is really - could be a frankenstein - which isn't bad in & of itself, but you don't know what you've got... Does appear to be fine spline & probably WC (can't see the countershaft plug clearly) making it more likely V8 camaro... All the above comments are from memory having looked at the ****** last night on eBay...I vividly remember those numbers.
Hmmm...none of my Jeeps have the sticker. Doesn't mean a hill of beans though - I've seen so many variations on T5 that nothing surprises me at all.
Hi Guys I got two of these WG 13-52-145 ******s sent from the states to me . One is going behind a y-block that will work fine . The other i thought would bolt up to a v8 . was told that all the stud patterns are the same . but now seems they are not . Can i just get a different bellhousing and get it to work ?? cheers Peter
