I used my best degreaser in my chinese parts cleaner. The paint stripped. Assuming my time holds no value and I stripped the rust off, what paint would I use? I PROMISE to use gentler products going fwd.

  2. What parts?

I use Duplicolor on my engines or Rustolium Appliance grade Urethane.
    Prime and paint.

Use a nice latex. It's easier on the environment.

  6. I am still partial to sheep's gut, its bio degradable. But I will use latex in a pinch. :D

Oh we're talking about paint. D'oh.

The whole bin and the flat above-fluid panel.
I don't care. I want something my degreaser won't eat through. Though, I will probably keep to a milder liquid degreaser.

Again, what parts are they... it is hard to determine what you are looking for, what degreaser did you use, and which one will you continue to use? Paint application has as much to do with durability as chemical make up of the paint. It is this chemical make up that will determine if your degreaser will take it off or not... A bit more info would go a long way into us helping you.

Bareback all the way... but then, I'm married.

As for the paint, why bother since it is the inside of the degreaser.

    Manual trans. parts usually.
Gunk SC diluted w/ mineral spirits
I have a couple gallons of a purple cleaner my parts guy sells. I'll have to look that up and post detail about it.

    ...
So maybe I should try some tractor paint.
    Works for me.

  15. My last wife was a turd and needed a good polishing. But that is another story for sure.

Anyway she bought some that were ribbed for her pleasure but I turned them inside out because I wasn't concerned for her pleasure. :p

I would like to find some drgreeser that would trip paint. If the question is about the parts cleaner itself, being Chinese it probably has low quality paint to start with. The really don't ship their best stuff to us, remember that they are still communists and the cold war isn't really over.

I painted one with a base/clear in 1990. when i saw it last in 2006 it was still holding up. i think the paint was centari, but i can't remember. with all the environmental laws you probably cant get the paint or solvent anymore.

I have found that the turd itself only gets as good as satin finish, but the peanuts really shine!

did you know you can take peanuts and smash them into a mold with a 10 ton press and make cashews...I learned it on the HAMB.

  23. Just remove all the paint... Get some motorcycle gas tank sealer.

  24. In a survey the French determined the ribs are for her pleasure,
the Germans determined they are for his pleasure,
the Canadian determined it was so his hand
    didn't slip off.

We still don't know what parts they are painting, right?
