someone told me there was a magazine story on how to rebuild guide headlights using new stuff on the market, does anyone remember this? what issue it was? thanks
I don't know about the article, but OTB carries all the parts to do the job. I bought their chrome trim rings to freshen up mine and they are really nice quality and fit just like the originals. It is really a very simple job to rebuild them. There is a plug on the back of the bulb and some wiring, then a retainer ring holds the bulb to the housing with 3 little screws, and after that the chrome trim ring goes around and is held in place with a single screw. Piece of cake. Don http://www.otbgear.com/HL-Parts-Accessories-C5.aspx
yup, real easy. i think i have that mag somewhere, but i don't think you'll need it. i got parts from "the hot rod company"
