History 1939 ford vintage drag car barn find

  1. well i found it through a guy who found it in a barn.....
    not alot of info other than it ran a flatty for a while and then went to a sbc and a 4 speed
    anyone have any pics form the 60's or early 70's of this car at union grove
    there are a few things that i am going to change, but for the most part i'll wash it do the brakes, and slam in a new drivetrain
    what do you thing of a blown hemi???????

  5. engine is already at the shop
    parts are on there way for brakes and such
    tires are on order

    i need a blower for the 331 and we will be ready to go
    i am sure it will not be fast...but it will at least be scary to drive at speed lol

    Killer car. Just my thought but maybe pin a leaf to the Tiki man so mothers will let kids look at that piece of history.

    That is the coolest thing Ive seen in along time...love the decals on the windows and the black and white steelies on the back...

    The seat riser looks like an old van seat riser. What was the purpose for painting the steel wheels half and half? I've seen it done before.

    As much as people hate "faux paint", I'd age paint that hood to match. Otherwise, it's ***ties just the way it sits. LOVE the decklid.

    That deck lid is so horrible that it's kind of awesome.

    Just think of the large volume of weed that the owner smoked before he came up with and painted that.
