O/T Saskatoon HAMBers

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Decon, Jul 1, 2005.

  1. I’m moving to Saskatoon in September and was wondering if any of you had suggestions on which neighbourhoods to avoid, which are preferred? I’m probably looking for an apartment right off the hop, I figure house and garage will come later.

    Much appreciated

  2. The area from 20th street past 33rd a few blocks and west of Idylwyld to about Avenue J or so is kinda rough now. Sutherland was always a decent place to live. Close to the U of S is okay too, but kind of pricy.

I have to move there too soon for a few months of apprenticeship training. I think I'm heading there in the fall sometime.

I'm in Saskatoon, Lived here all my life. It's pretty much seperated into EastSide/West Side. If you're looking apartment - there's a ton on the eastside in the Lakeview/Lakeridge area. Some really nice new ones went up in the Briarwood area. ( I have friends who live there.)

Silverwood/Lawson Heights would be good, University area . . . Lots of nice places to choose from.

Fire me a PM if you need any further information, or want an opinion on a possible rental location.
