triple carb question.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by rockabillybassman, Mar 13, 2012.

  1. Will 94s fit on an Edelbrock triple carb manifold for flathead, or is it designed for 97s?

94's and Stromber 97's use the same 3 bolt bolt pattern, so you can use either on that mainfold.

94's will contact each other, so you have to clearance them a little with a grinder. It helps to use a thick carb gasket that's fairly soft, as the carbs need to tip away from each other a little. Been running that combo for years.

Edelbrock 1109 will allow 94s to fit w/out mods. this is a 8BA manifold. 5and 1/8 between carbs

  6. Yep, I know that, but 94s take up more space than 97s.

Thanks BigMikec, I had a feeling that was the case.
