Im sick of running my single carb. I wanna run 3 dueces. but i know a lil about the 239. and what i do know is upkeep and all that jazz. but not when it comes to swapping parts. Ive seen a couple 239 running this setup. But who makes a intake for this? I know i can use intakes from newer y blocks. But which ones. Edlebrock doesnt make a 3x2 setup for the 239. Or thats atleast what i saw on another website. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mike

Be careful of what you buy. Most later manifolds do not fit correctly because of the 239's small ports. You willhave sealing problems. There were manifolds made for just the 239, but they are pretty rare. You might want to swap head to later ones, but again be careful because there may be valve/block interference. Best bet is to get a 292 (still fairly cheap).

Yeah see i knew that but will any Y-block manifold with small port openings fit?

A website i visited listed this manifold.....Edelbrock #FM355 3x2 BBL. fits Stromberg 48/97 for 1955-1956 272,292,312 with small ports. Im wondering if it would fit.

    Does Offenhauser offer one?

    Thanks

  4. Even the small port Edelbrock 553 (originally built for '55-'56 Y-blocks) is too big to run on the 239 by itself. If you invested the time to port match the intakes then it would work. You definitely don't want one of the 557 larger port manifolds. Offy did build some 239 3x2's but would be pretty hard to find.
