Finally brought the Rumbler home yesterday. Had some problems with fuel blockages (I think). Forgot to replace the old filter and ended up with a fair bit of sediment in the carb. Not sure if that would cause it to stop, but it wasn't realy happy. Got a new filter on it and fired it up and everything seems OK, but it's absolutely POURING DOWN at the moment, so I'm not game to go out and test my luck. Anyway, some pics... The engine... back where it belongs. I mean... it did look nice on the engine stand and all, but I've got stairs from the garage to the lounge room and it would've been too hard to cart it up there, so I put it in the engine bay instead. T'other side... The amazing fan shroud... Here's a shot of the remote oil filter that I have to run to clear the steering box.

Great lookin' little car! Love the factory "douchebag" hangin' on the fenderwell. Motor looks great! I've had a couple of Ramblers, a '66 and '69 before and been eyein' a 2 door ragtop in a local backyard for a couple of years. What have you got going with the steering?

Last time I saw that car, it was on the back of a trailer, at the drags, looking very much like a "TRAILER QUEEN", I figured you'd got the shits and sold it for Beer money. Seriously though, that motor looks great in the engine bay. Were the screens out to get the whole car painted, or has the trip to the salt made you drive at subsonic speeds knocking out the glass. Trailer = Broken, you know that. Glass WAS out to fix up the paint, but I've put them back in (did it at the drags actually) without any sealant so I can drive it around for a couple of weeks before taking it to the panel shop for a complete re-do. It'll be basically the same, but I've got plans... Nice day today, going to take it out for a spin. See Ya!
man, i wanna run a fan setup like taht in my sled, do away with my worthless 4 blade fan..... would be REAL kool.... should work too.,... i need more cooling poiwer, this 4 blade isnt doin JACK... any other guys out there with no fans on the block?

Took the car into the panel shop on Monday. Dropped in to visit this morning and give them some bucks. These guys don't stuff around. Majority of the bad rust is fixed and it doesn't look too bad. No show car job, but it should look OK as I go flying past. Can't seem to find my 'before' photos of the fender lip...
