Sat night isnt looking good. I had been in contact with the drive-in movie theater owner for over a year about getting a GOOD movie that hot rodders would like in for the show. Told him I would pack the place if he did. What did he book? The Lorax. I told him no deal. I even found a place to get 35mm prints of good hot rod films... but still nothing. Well, i've invited him over to the show on Sat. so just perhaps he will get some sort of idea what we are dealing with. its a big disappointment for me to be sure.... but I think once he see's whats going on it will click. after all, what does he know? I'm jsut some guy saying I can fill his theater for one night, he doesnt know me from Adam... but the proof will be in the show... I think next year we will have our pick of movies to watch at the drive in.
The Lorax... Well, we DO have a few vintage smaller budget foreign films... and they are silent too... all the rage in Hollywood this year.
Well it looks like i will be dinking a few cold ones in the parking lot of the hotel saturday night then...either way im still gonna have fun... Rooster
