I'm looking to do a little work on my 46's windshield. I've got a local gl*** man to cut and install the gl*** for me. The question I have is: what is my best bet for a frame-to-cab seal? I'm doing a basic 'driver' restoration at the moment, but want something that will keep out the rain and's not just throwing away my money. Recommendations from those with experience? Manufacturers and/or part numbers to look at would be greatly appreciated.

Lynn Steele, eh? With a site called "oldcargl***guy" I am betting you know what you're talking about! I ***ume their quality is good. How are Steele's prices?

  5. I used them nearly 40 years without a problem. if that means anything. if you want to save money buy the cheap ones and spend 10 hours trying to make them work. then **** can them and buy good stuff.

I'm going to say this . there are several good companies that make great parts that I use all the time. one by one they are moving to off shore and almost over night turn to ****. we are at the mercy of suppliers and when I run into a bad one I put them on a list of parts I don't reccomend. when I find good parts I have a list for them too. Steele has alway been on the A list

I thought I would follow up for anyone who comes across this conversation in the future. I did end up getting the perimeter seal and division bar seal from Steele. Though I had to modify the division bar seal a bit, I was very please with the quality of their materials and the fit was perfect. It was a much faster and easier process to install than I expected. Steele is the way to go.
