Been reading HAMB for a while, Jalopy Journal, lots of neat stuff. I am retired, but now get to play with my artwork with a new website I got up and running yesterday. Has only 20 illustrations on it now, but there will be 100 up and running in about 2 weeks. Check it out at www.rickwilsoncustomcarart.com It'll have mainly custom and rod stuff, but lots of other neat things like trucks, dirt track, muscle cars, classics, restored, etc. I have a custom and rod background from So-Cal (Long Beach), founded a car club that peaked at 400 members, formed an outdoor auto show co. much smaller than NSRA and GoodGuys (4300 members at peak), folded due to insurance premiums eating us alive because we were domiciled out of CA, and ins co's hate litigation from blood and money hungry attorneys who suck the system dry if you have a claim (we were claim-free all 5 years !!). Looking forward to hearing from all you gearheads. See you at the GNRS at Pomona in 2012 and CA Hot Rod Reunion this Oct in Smokersfield. Rick Wilson
I'll check out your site ! and I'm going to the hot rod reunion also. are you going to be selling there ?
No, not selling, but you might catch me walking around with a tube with art enclosed. Some of the racers I draw might be there, and I want to make sure they get a print of my work to take home and hang up on their walls.
Welcome from the west coast of Florida. You have a very nice site and your work is great. Is all your work done in black and white or are there is there also work done in color? Wishing you the best of luck with your new business. Jimbo
Welcome from Kansas. Impressive sir...you have skills! All the best to you with the website, and hang out with us to share whats going on.
Hello and welcome from So.ILL. I like to draw autos and whatnot also. Been doing so since childhood. I may get brave enough to post here one day. LOL!
