Visit Mt Magazine State Park and eat in the lodge. Go to Petti Jean and see the car museum. Both trips aren't too bad out of Little Rock.

Canoe trip! Dueling banjos, and the catfish farms and BBQ, baby! One of the top BBQ joint's is near Little Rock. I have to look it up, to give ya the low down. Stay a-way from jungle town. Been there, done that. http://www.mcclards.com/

Pe*** Jean State Park is beautiful this time of year. Also atop the mountain is the Auto Museum, and the Rockefeller Ranch. MOTAA also holds a rather large swap meet there in early June.
Hot Springs National Park is a fun place to visit. See a little bit of New York City right there in Arkansa, enjoy a bath in the hot spring water, tour the old bath houses.
The Mountain Home area is famous for its friendly people, great fishing and water sports and the annual Bucket Bash hot rod event for T-buckets.

Who was the S.O.B. that designed those exits off the interstate right into oncoming access road traffic?:(:(:(

  16. It does take a bit of getting used to. Sort of like those one way frontage roads in Texas.

Back again till' Thursday morning. Anything going on? We are in Jacksonville. Last trip I hit Dr.Dave's place in Conway but missed the man himself. Might take a drive up the mountain to see the car museum this time? I've got exactly zero plans other then drive to Witchita Thursday.

Museum and Pe*** Jean in general is ALWAYS a pleasant trip. That's usually my youngun and my weekend hang-out....
Unfortunantly, you are here when we are being cooked to a crisp at over 100 degree temps...:(

I don't know of any local car events going on, sorry. BTW, if you see the old black Chevy that's in my avatar, wave at me....I work in Little Rock and live near Pe*** Jean, so it's common to see it in either place....
