Too new from REAL g***er look, but a good start for a nice cruiser. Is it a 2dr hardtop? Disc brakes are easy. v-8's do slip in. Post some pics.

When I was a kid I found a picture of a newer body style '65 or '66 maybe, It was flamed red white & blue, straigt axle, 390, & a tilt front end. "The All American" It was ***s!

  8. Not likely that a Rambler would have made it into the Factory Experimental ranks for obvious reasons. I don't doubt that some ran gas cl*** a lot of oddball bodies ended up on the strip. Before '65 it would not have run a straight axle unless it ran Altered cl***. I imagine that was also done.

I'll tell you what it would do perfectly and be more fun that a bag is snakes is built as a sleeper. An aquaintence in high school had a '57 Rambler that ran a built to the hilt 327. He even ran cheater slicks (from JC Whittney I believe) which made it real interesting in the rain. That car was clean the cheaters were not real noticable unless you were paying attention. Rambler just screams sleeper.

im thinking blown 396 Chevy, pipes dumping out just behind the front wheels, under the fender, full cage, gl*** bumpers, tilt front or lift off hood.

I like your idea. I'm gearing up for a similar build myself. There is a 64 out there called RUMBLER and it is sweet. There is another black one on here with a tilt front end that is insane. I cant remember the username but I will look. I have a 65 2dr post I am going to build into a g***er. I dont care what anyone says, if I think its cool thats all I care about. I am trying to locate the right straight axle right now. I have plans to install a 360/727. You can do just about any small block and trans you want. If you have any tech questions, farna is your man. He is an AMC genius. He has helped me quite a bit. Be sure to post build pictures too!
