1948 Chevy

    This is my first time on the HAMB. I have a 48 chevy sedan and want to know if 1949 and up front hubs and drums will fit using the existing brakes and spindles. I want to convert the front from 6 lug to 5 lug wheels

    They worked great that way on my 48 chevy coupe but the rear end does not .i put in a 56 chevy rear end and made a spacer plate to slide the rear end back about one and one half in .it was the right width.but i am sure there are others to

    Does any one know any tricks or tools to put the original hood springs back on my 49 Chevy coupe??
