I am about to order my new frame for my '29 Tudor from Kiwi Connection. Does anyone have any suggestions on a shipping company to get this thing from Bakersfield, CA to Houston, TX in one square piece at a reasonable price? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Joey

Whatever you do, DO NOT use YRC Freight or Roadway Freight(owned by the same company). We ship and recieve thousands of freight items a year and with either of these two there is damage to the shipment 9 times out of 10. Fed Ex freight is good and so is Saia. You might see if someone who is making the trip to Austin for the Roundup would be willing to haul it to Austin for ya, just a thought.

Bakersfield to Houston... There is a Gazzilion trucks run that route back and forth with the oilfield equipment. Try http://pattersonmotorfreight.com/ they are owner operated. I hauled tons of equipment with them. Never a problem.
