Hello- I have a 53 Pilothouse that I will be slowly building. I am looking for a frame and suspension swap and have found some really good information within these forums. Leaning towards 90's Dakota frame, but have read about S10 as well. Once I find the right donor frame at the right price, I will start the project. At this time I am looking at putting a ***mins 4BT from a bread truck for the engine and drive train..
Thanks for all the good advice that is in the forums and I am sure I will be looking for more help as the project progresses....

Welcome form New York. I am currently working on a 1952 pilothouse with a 318/904 combo. I look forward to seeing some pictures of your project.

Welcome aboard...from what I've heard, the S-10 is a shade too narrow for the Pilot-House body; however, the Dakota lines up almost perfectly for width & wheelbase.

Welcome from Sioux City Ia. My 36 Dodge sits on a 90 dakota frame and it works well.
