Hey all - Accidentally posted first in the general population, sorry 'bout that! We have a 1954 Airstream trailer we're restoring currently, and my interest in the HAMB is all the collective wisdom that may come in handy regarding vintage tow vehicles. I've already detailed my idea over here. Thanks for the great site, I've lurked for a while and you all have some amazing rides.
what will amaze you is the readerless ****nuts who will greet you and not even read what you posted , actually this is a forum for old hot rods and traditional hotrods , you wont find a **** load of info here about trailors ,, but good luck in your search man!!
Hmm that's funny.... I wonder to whom that comment is directed? My first few days here I found posts about cool trailers and one cl***ic trailer that's undergoing a total overhaul. As for readerless ****nuts, I wonder who all didn't read that Bredlo hopes to build a 54 to 59 Carryall or Suburban (albeit with modern drivetrain) to pull it with.....
What a way to represent fellow HAMB members by calling them "****nuts". Dont worry, we are not all like that, welcome from Texas!
Thanks all, appreciate the warm welcomes. I have a vintage Vespa, and the old scooter hipsters aren't nearly as nice when asking questions or trying to learn. I mean, if you have to ask how to clean a carb on a 50's scooter... watch out, because you don't deserve to own it!!
As for our trailer, it's a 1954 Safari - a little longer and older than Alicia-Dusty's Pacer... but same family. I'll show a current view, and what it should look like by the end of the summer.
Better late them never. Welcome, That Airstream will look way cool behind a retro style tow vehicle. Good luck.
Welcome from Kansas. Per brother Cajun Kenny, we will amaze you with our greetings, however unimpressed he is with that skillset. Tonight we will focus on trailers and those who need help with them. If you will search for roothawg, I believe he has some experience with this topic... http://theadventuresofavalair.blogspot.com/
