    Hi
I'm invited to Scandinavia biggest car show and I'm thinking of doing a Bonneville inspired display for my Rolling Bones inspired 32 roadster!

Anyone having any experience of that? seen that?

Take off the top, upper windshield stanchions, windshield, headlights, hubcaps. Then shoe polish the RIGHT coding for your cl*** of car and some bogus # on the side. And a big ol bag of salt to spread around. And maybe one of those hazard cones thrown in, except paint it red and not the orange color with a black base.

I agree on the windshield being removed, that would be a dead ringer for a Bonneville car "look". Display wise I would just rip off Bobby Green's idea here including the salt colored carpet, full size picture in the background.

That 32 roadster is just perfect. The nicest one I have ever seen. You nailed it perfectly. Leave it to a fellow Swede to raise the bar. I have no ideas for you. I just wanted to give you some praise. Ruler!

HOTRODSWE.....maybe do a SEARCH for old Bonneville photos, Jimmy B posted some nice dry lake photos back in 2009, they are in the "HOT RODS OF THE DRY LAKE ERA" group, the photos were part of the Ray Morrisette Collection, maybe get some ideas from there. You need salt around your roadster if it's sitting on hard ground, a cone with SCTA painted on it and a large banner of Bonneville Salt Flats in the background. I just added seven B & W B-ville pictures in my album "Bonneville 1954", I took the pictures when I was 11 yrs old, your welcome to use if you like any. I hope this helps? cw.
    OOOH.....your 32 is AWESOME!!!!

The "salt colored" carpet sounds better than real salton the floor. Rolling up carpet would be easier than sweeping up and re-bagging salt . Good luck with the show .
