jeff is the nicest guy you ever want to meet .and that car has made the the lap we have all dreamed of. congrats jeff, im glad you made it!
The truck falls into the same category as the jeep and assorted rat rods in the same issue....Something to create controversy and sell a few magazines... Whats next? A Hot Rod feature on how to build particle board ground effects for you rice burner? Hot Rod has already cut up and trashed a perfectly good corvette, so that one is taken. Not for me, but diferent strokes for different folks...
i hope randy has made it out of oklahoma! i cant wait to see his cross country trip photos! the flake man spoken!
VERY nice pages in hot rod ,truck is your own style contrats !! we were a cover in feb 12 , and the haters on here were funny ass hell read the tag line on my profile. most of the assholes were proud to own their fiberglass t bucket and could not understand any other type of build. nice pages good luck
At least your ride has made it somewhere most will never go.. Bonneville!!!!! Cool father/son project. Something the both of you will never forget. Way to go.
While the folks at Hot Rod aren't experts, they do have a wealth of knowledge. On that note, ANY car built by someone that gets a cover has got to have something going for it. Whether or not the build is popular doesn't mean shit. The guy put his tools where his mouth was and built a car WORTHY enough for a major automotive magazines cover. Diesels not my thing, but hard work and ingenuity are. The man did a great job and it sounds like it's not a trailer queen. That's enough for me. Maybe the people bitchin' should post pics of thier "cover worthy" ride. Few and far between.
