Replacing window chrome on my 63 chevy

Hey everyone, I just got the new chrome trim for the side windows and was wondering if anyone has ever replaced them. And what to use to secure them back on. Someone said to use buetle tape or emblem adhiecive? In the pic it looks like a gasket...
